Villaging

A FRAMEWORK FOR DOING LIFE TOGETHER

Villaging is the intentional practice of building and sustaining community in ways that support your life in real, tangible ways. It is organized around five core pillars - each one a different entry point into connection, care, and collective living.

Villaging is…

…not a destination, nor a product. But, it is a practice. Villaging is what happens when people move toward each other on purpose — building the kind of community that holds you, challenges you, and shows up when it counts. It is rooted in the belief that we are not meant to do life alone.

The 5 Pillars of Villaging

Villaging in Practice

Start with Self

Villaging begins with honest self-assessment. Where are you now? What do you need? The Village Assessment helps you understand your current relationship with community and where to begin.

Find Your People

Intentional community starts with identifying who already exists in your life and who you want to invite in. Villaging gives you a framework for doing that with clarity and purpose.

Build the Structure

A village doesn't hold itself together by accident. Villaging offers practices, rhythms, and rituals that help community stay alive — not just in moments of crisis, but in the everyday.

Sustain It Together

The goal isn't a perfect community — it's a resilient one. Villaging teaches you how to tend the village over time, through conflict, change, and growth.

KNOW YOUR VILLAGE

Where does your village stand?

The Village Assessment is a 25-question guided reflection designed to help you understand where you are, what you need, and how to begin building community in ways that actually support your life. You'll receive one of four Village archetypes — each one a starting point, not a final answer, as you navigate your villaging journey.

The Seed

You know you need community — you're still figuring out how to build it.

The Sprout

You have meaningful connections but gaps exist. Some pillars are strong and others need tending. You are in exactly the right place to grow.

The Canopy

You have built real community and others lean on it. You are the person people come to — now the work is making sure the village holds you too.

The Grove

Your village is growing and reciprocal. You give and receive with relative ease. There is real depth here worth celebrating — and room to go deeper still.
